It's April, and it's time to act a fool. May these April showers bring us all the vibes this spring. You get the body, and we'll provide the music. Our latest selection plays around with a few new artists, some sensual lyrics, and many risqué themes. As per usual, we will take you all over the world in a private jet, dropping you off at the underground dance parties of your dreams.

Pop into this 9th Floor Media playlist and treat yourself to some airy beats and straight-up bangers.

"MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)" - Lil Nas X

Nobody was ready for this song. It's definitely a departure from the subtlety of Old Town Road, and we're in full support of pushing the envelope. It's the title track from Lil Nas X’s new album MONTERO slated for a 2021 release. Live out your fantasy of seducing the devil, and watch the controversially perfect music video directed by Tanu Muino and Lil Nas X.

"Streets - Disclosure Remix" - Doja Cat

Doja Cat is the queen of subsequent hits. Despite her second studio album, Pink's release a few years ago, TikTok challenges and Gen Z continue to bring new life into her music, as with the seventh single "Streets." Of course, our favorite duo transformed the famous track into a sensual thumper. Watch Doja slay with a taste of homage in the music video directed by @christhedirector.

"On The Ground" - ROSÉ

BLACKPINK is in our area and they're not playing any games. New Zealand-born ROSÉ blesses us with the leading EDM-inspired single from her two-track debut EP, R. This is the second solo project following fellow member JENNIE’s SOLO a few years ago. Watching the music video is a must. Get a visual of the adventurous reflection of ROSÉ's journey as a K-pop star, artist, and talented young woman.

"New York" - SUBI

Who doesn't get butterflies when they dream of New York? 9th Floor Media artist SUBI's latest release is a soulful, jazzy anthem to dreaming from afar right where you are. Her voice's unique control complements the classic instrumental sound, instantly placing us in the front row at the swaggiest night club.

"Musk" - Tash Sultana

As they said on Apple Music, "this is the communication piece from myself to the listener. You will note there are no words because there doesn't need to be, everything is already said." Tash Sultana tells no lies. The ethereal track from the Australian singer-songwriter's second studio album Terra Firma transports you into the mind of a musical genius, blending together instruments and fantasy in a sonic adventure across the Earth.

"Hazy" - Chloe x Halle

The Bailey sisters stayed busy during the pandemic and really set a new tone for their sound and fans with their second studio album's release. But there's always more. Joined by the release of the mesmerizing title track "Ungodly Hour" music video, the girls announced the Ungodly Hour (Chrome Edition) and blessed us with two new songs. If there was ever a reason to play out the album all over again, this song is it.

"Fotiá" - Evangelia

Evangelia is a real-life Greek goddess. She blends the modern pop sounds and traditional elements of her Greek heritage into an epic melody. This new single, which means "fire" in Greek, is just that, pure flames for your headphone speakers. Evangelia gives a compelling performance in the music video directed by Jason Lester.

"Follow You" - Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons is definitely one of those bands where you don't realize you know all the lyrics to their songs. This latest song is one of two singles to appear on their upcoming fifth studio album, and it reminds you of all the reasons why they're catchy, fun, and perfect for summer party anthems. The music video directed by Matt Eastin is a sexy, hot mess featuring our favorite Always Sunny in Philadelphia real-life couple Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson.

"Do Me Like A Drug" - Emmanuel Franco

Texas-born Emmanuel Franco is a soulful breath of fresh air. Traveling from Washington to Portland to Hawaii and finally, Los Angeles brought out the adventurous, acoustic sound that showcases his instrumental and vocal talent. The Spanish and Mexican descendent is relatively new to the main scene, but we are excited to see where this musical journey takes him next.

"Peaches" - Justin Bieber, Daniel Caesar, Giveon

Why does every Justin Bieber album release feel like another comeback? Peaches is a new track from his sixth studio album, Justice. The song is designed as an ode to America with solid references to Georgia peaches and being the birthplace of the heavily featured American hero, Martin Luther King Jr. The song features two prominently rising artists, Giveon and Daniel Caesar. It looks like Justin is making sure he's considered in the rhythm and blues category in next year's Grammys.

“Eden (Like Me) [feat. Slake Dransky]” - Grimm Tha Kid

Our boy Slake Dransky lives in the studio, and this time around he's featured on the freshman rapper Grimm Tha Kid's latest single “Eden (Like Me)” off his new album Night Drives & Nostalgia. Grimm Tha Kid is young and has a lot more to say to the world, and we're listening. This is one of many future collaborations coming from Slake Dransky this year.

"SHUTTUP" - Snow Tha Product

We love a shady, ratchet anthem. Today, it seems like songs are specifically designed to become TikTok dance mantras and we're not mad about it. This latest single will forever be stuck in your head the next time somebody tries to come for you. The rapper, singer, and actress is on the rise and sparing no one on the climb. The music has us questioning if she filmed it herself, and if so, dang girl. Good job.

"FREAK" - Shygirl

2020 single "Freak" is the first solo release by Shygirl in a few years. The British rapper, DJ, singer, and songwriter has a little taste of grimy hip-hop and industrial house music. You might've heard her music in the background of Fenty Beauty commercials once upon a time. Check out her self-directed animated music video for a whole trip.

"I'm Not In Love" - Kelsey Lu

Honestly, our favorite music discoveries occur during our favorite television shows. When we heard Kelsey Lu's cover of the British band 10cc's 1975 hit, we were captivated. The song is the second single from her 2019 album, Blood. The song was featured on the HBO show Euphoria's soundtrack, and it fits all the themes of that jaw-dropping show.

Look out for more from 9th Floor Media!
